How savings goals work in Volora
A goal is a target amount with a progress bar. You choose whether Volora fills it in from a wallet or you update it yourself.
Any kind of goal
Savings, an emergency fund, paying off a debt, an investment pot, or anything else you name. Give each goal its own icon and colour so you can tell them apart at a glance.
Progress that updates itself
Link a wallet and the goal shows that wallet's balance, recalculated every time you open your goals. Prefer to keep it separate? Leave it unlinked and enter the amount yourself.
A date to aim for
Add an optional target date and the goal tells you how much time is left, or that it's overdue. No date? It just tracks the amount.
"Almost there!"
Pick the point (90% by default) where the goal lights up to show you're close, and see "Goal reached!" when you get there.
Your most urgent goal on the home screen
The goals card on the home screen shows the goal with the nearest date, or the one closest to done, plus how many goals are active and completed.
A goal in any currency
Set each goal in the currency you're saving in. A linked wallet in another currency is converted with exchange rates.
Private by design
What you're saving for is nobody's business but yours.

- If you sign in, encrypted backups go to your own Google Drive, not our servers.

What you need to know

- Goals are part of Premium. Wallets, budgets and the net worth card are free.
- Volora doesn't move money for you or connect to your bank. You record what you put aside, or import a CSV file.
- Goals aren't shared with the other members of a shared space yet; each person sees their own.
Questions about savings goals
Are savings goals free?
No, goals come with Volora Premium. The free app already covers wallets, budgets and your net worth, and the calculators on this site are free for everyone.
What does linking a wallet do?
The goal's progress becomes that wallet's balance: every transaction and transfer in it, converted to the goal's currency. Scheduled future entries don't count until they happen.
Can I save for several things at once?
Yes. Create as many goals as you need. They're listed together, and the home screen card highlights the most urgent one.
What if I need to pause a goal?
Pause it and resume it later, or mark it as completed when you're done. Nothing is lost.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. If you sign in, backups go to your own Google Drive. We have no access to your data.
